Allocation of work in the Ministry of Mines

Shri Narendra Singh Tomar has taken over the charge of Minister of Mines on 4th September, 2017 & Shri Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary has taken over as Minister of State of Ministry of Mines w.e.f. 4th September, 2017. The Secretariat of Ministry of Mines is headed by the Secretary assisted by one Additional Secretary, three Joint Secretaries, one Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser common for Ministries of Coal, Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Corporate Affairs, one Economic Adviser and six Directors / Deputy Secretaries; one Joint Director Official Languages Sanctioned strength and present incumbency of officers/officials in the Ministry of Mines is given at Table 1.1. Organisational structure of the Ministry of Mines is shown in  Annexure 1.1

*Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance vide Order No. 13015/1/2015-IES dated 04th December, 2015 transferred 01 post of Junior Time scale of IES Cadre to the Ministry of Mines.

*Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance vide Order No.11025/4/2014-IES dated 11.01.2016 redeployed one post of Director/Dy.    Adviser (IES) from Niti Aayog to the Ministry of Mines.
